Ski Trip Rules and
Condo Etiquette

Purpose: Our ski trips are designed to have fun and develop friendships with other club members. The following are what the club considers reasonable rules and etiquette for all to follow.

Condos: The club reserves the number of condos based on past sign-ups and how many members have signed up early. Without enough sign-ups, the club may have to cancel condos and lose money. So, it is imperative that you sign up at least a month in advance. Anything less and you probably won't be on the trip. Payment in full is due with your trip form.

Room Assignments: No one is to go to the office to make condo changes. This is the trip leader's responsibility. If you have a problem, contact the trip leader and she/he will attempt to make a change. Do not take it upon yourself to change a room or condo assignment. There are no guarantees that changes can be made. Also, every attempt will be made to keep only two to a room; but, at some time, there may be three in a bunk room due to a condo cancellation. Let the trip leader know with whom you would like to share your room. We try to give couples the master bedroom, but it is not guaranteed.

Keys: Only two keys are given for each condo. If you are an early arrival and go out, or if you are the last one leaving, place a key under the mat. Also don't lock the door if you go to bed and someone has not arrived or returned yet.

Early Birds and Night Owls: Try to be quiet. If you are an early riser, be considerate of others and keep the noise to a minimum. Likewise, if you retire early or come in late.

Club Dinner Saturday Night: If you want to bring a guest, contact the trip leader for approval. There will be a $10 charge per person for those not on the trip. NO EXCEPTIONS. At the dinner, please pitch in to help the trip leaders with preparation and clean up. It's a lot of work and they need your help.

Food: The club provides coffee and the Saturday night dinner. Members often bring food and booze for their own consumption. This is not community property; so do not take what is not yours. Please label your own items.

Being On Time: Drivers and passengers should agree on a specific time and place to leave for Mammoth and to return to Orange County. Being late is inconsiderate to all parties. Call if you are going to be 15 minutes late. Each vehicle's driver and its passengers should work out the trip expenses.

Valuables and Cash in the Condo: Use good judgment and do not leave cash, wallets, jewelry in plain view. The club is not responsible for missing items.

Snoring: If you snore and keep others in your room awake, perhaps you should move to the couch.

Housekeeping: There is no maid service at the condos. All trip members are responsible to clean up after eating, drinking, etc. Clear living and dining areas and put your dishes in the dishwasher. Housekeeping applies to bathrooms, as well. Remember that hot water for showers is usually limited; so don't use it all. Load and start the dishwasher and put out all the trash before leaving, Sunday. Double check to make sure you don't leave any of your belongings.

Out-of-State Trips: Sign-ups and payments are to be made according to the payment schedule. Cancellation fees may apply based on the signed deposit policy. If vehicles are contracted by the club, a driver will be designated. These vehicles are for the use of the trip members to go to the mountain, dinner etc. Agreed times and being on time rules apply.

Have fun and enjoy the skiing!
